Know your classics
In the software industry, change is the only constant. What’s “good,” “useful,” “true,” or “the way to go” today might be different next quarter. Yet, there are concepts and ideas I return to time and again in my work and review sessions with other developers. Uncle Bob’s “The Clean Architecture” is one of them. Almost 13 years old, but the truth of this simple article still stands firm and continues to help me today to demonstrate the simplicity of good software. Software should be able to stand the test of time without being a burden due to its inability to meet new requirements. The “Dependency Rule” is your friend.
