Omnihis (2)
OmniHis is a company that develops and maintains a HIS (General Practitioner Information System). As an architect/tech lead, I was responsible for the design and implementation of a renewed HIS with a team of 7 people. This has become a scalable, serverless, cloud-native solution on the AWS platform. A message-driven asynchronous architecture was chosen, in which the core services (patient file and practice file) were implemented according to the CQRS concept and deployed as serverless services. In this, I fulfill the role of ‘thinker’ and ‘doer’: given the functional wish of the customer and in coordination with the PO, I devise, test and implement a future-proof solution. I am often the bridge between business and development because I speak both ‘languages’: I can make technical challenges understandable and I can explain (business) processes to developers so that they understand how and why something is made. Furthermore, I take the team on a journey of discovery along technologies that contribute to the objectives through (self) study, knowledge transfer and coaching.
